Cozzette Divinity Collection: Review Part 2- S125, S140, S175 and D225

A while back, I introduced you to my absolute favorite pro synthetic brush line, Cozzette’s Divinity Collection (read first post here). I started off with a handful of brushes to round out my brush collection and get a feel for the line. I instantly fell head-over-heels in love, and it’s only a matter of time before I own the entire line. In the meantime, I pick them up as needed and have since picked up a few more brushes that I can’t wait to share with you. This post features the S125 Powder Brush, S140 Highlight Brush, S175 Cylinder Eye Contour Brush and the D225 Depositor Eye Brush.

Cozzette’s Divinity Collection are Professional Makeup brushes that are as luxuriously decadent in performance and design as they are ethically responsible to animals (100% vegan) and the environment (handles are 100% renewable resource solid wood). These brushes are crafted to meet the high standards of professional makeup artists, savvy consumers and makeup mavens alike. This top-of-the-line pro brush collection is not only a stand-out amongst synthetic brushes, it’s a stand-out collection amongst ALL brushes, period.

S125  Powder Brush ($30):  This is a gorgeous, ultra-soft dome powder brush. It picks up and deposits powder perfectly. It is my absolute favorite powder brush in my makeup kit. While this brush is a dome brush, it’s not so rounded that it makes it difficult to get around the creases in the face. In fact, I would describe it as the ultimate happy-medium between a paddle powder brush and a super-rounded dome powder brush.

S140  Highlight Stylist Brush ($28):  This is a fantastic multi-purpose brush. It’s great for applying blush or shimmer/iridescent powders. I also use this brush for contouring, and find it to be a fantastic companion to the S135.

S175  Cylinder Eye Contour Medium ($16): A very luxurious contour brush to blend crease shadow to accentuate the eye socket to provide depth to the eye. The bristles are super-soft and very full. There are two more eye contour brushes in the collection (Large S165 and the Mini S185). I decided to start of with the medium, but I’m definitely going to have to get my paws on the other two.

D225  Depositor Eye Brush ($16)This is THE brush I reach for first in order to deposit color onto the eyelid. It is also great for highlighting the brow bone and/or accent colors. No one ever believes me when I tell them that it’s synthetic!

To Reshape: If you find that you have bent your brush’s bristle fibers out of shape (I have done this), all you have to do is dip the bristles under extremely hot water. This will allow you to re-shape the brush back to it’s original shape. Don’t forget to squeeze out any excess water and lay flat to dry.
